radio and b-days

the vinyl sonic blue is about to be
here... probably in january we will have it in our hands!
you can reserve a copy already on
interstellar records
to celebrate this, the 2 radio shows
about sonic blue are going to be broadcasted, you can hear it live
and 7 days online and you can hear it where every you are :)

when the vinyl will be here i'll make a
spontaneous and crazy presentation somewhere in vienna... and where

Das
Radio der Zukunft
– diesen Titel trägt ein visionärer Essay des russischen
Futuristen Velimir Chlebnikov aus dem Jahre 1921.
Chlebnikov:
Das Radio der Zukunft – der wichtigste Baum der Erkenntnis - wird
der Wissenschaft eine Fülle von Aufgaben eröffnen und die
Menschheit zusammenführen. Neben der Radiohauptstation, diesem
Schloss aus Eisen, um das Wolken aus Drähte wie Haare verstreut
sind, werden wahrscheinlich ein Knochenpaar, ein Schädel und die
bekannte Aufschrift: „Achtung!“ zu sehen sein, da die geringste
Unterbrechung in der Arbeit des Radios die geistige Ohnmacht des
ganzen Landes, den zeitweiligen Verlust seines Bewusstseins
verursachen würde.

Monoblock Poemas y textos sin elocuencia ist die
Wiederaufführung einer
Performance, die
1971 von Juan José Gurrola (1935-2007) in Mexico City
vorgestellt wurde.
Die Performance behandelt auf poetische
Weise die Auffassung einer angestrebten imperialistischen Dominanz der U.S.A. gegenüber Mexiko.
Zugleich kritisiert sie den Kunstbetrieb
und seine Mechanismen.
“Du kannst Dir
das verflucht beste Auto bauen, das Du Dir wünscht,
aaaaaaaber… wenn Du nicht den Motorblock hast, damit es fährt …
nun, sie haben
uns rein gelegt. Motorblöcke können nur von
Gringos gebaut werden.”, erklärt Gurrola.

Monoblock Poemas y textos sin elocuencia is s a re-staging of a performance from
1971 made by Juan José Gurrola
(1935-2007) in Mexico City.
It deals in a poetic way with the notion
of imperialist domination attempts carried out by the U.S. upon Mexico.
Simultaneously it criticises the world of fine arts and its mechanisms.
“You can
build yourselves the best damned car you want, buuuuuuuut... if you don’t have
the Monoblock to make it run…
well, they screwed us. Monoblocks are only produced
by gringos”,
Gurrola explains.
